Please tell us about your experience in the aerospace field
I came to the Museum with my Husband who has past away 2 years ago. He was very into history.
Could you share how you became interested in pursuing aerospace
I told the Director that would help in anyway I could but didn't know much about planes. I have sure learned now. I ran an office, dealt with the public, kids etc. So I was asked to volunteer. Then was asked to cover the office when the Director was on vacation. I said sure and have been at the Museum for 11 years I think and have become the Assistant Director. I enjoy meeting the guest who come from all over and there stories.
My site provides resources for high schoolers interested in aerospace and aviation. What advice would you give them?
You can Volunteer at the Museum . But just learn and ask questions.
Could you tell us about any challenges or surprises you’ve encountered—perhaps something that turned out differently than expected?
I have learned more than I thought I would.
